About the event
This online session will give you a chance to look at what you are currently doing to manage stress and allows you to create, or enhance, your own self-care plan. You will also get the chance to develop a specific plan to start a new health behavior. Changing healthy behaviors can be hard, especially while physical distancing, but engaging in positive coping strategies is one of the more effective ways to manage stress. The training aims to provide participants with the opportunity to learn skills to improve their health and well-being while also connecting with other students and health professionals.
At the end of this 1.5-hour training, participants will:
-Understand stress, the stress response and stress management
-Recognize the benefits of stress and how to harness it
-Create an individualized self-care plan
-Develop a specific action plan to start a new health habit
